Portal da Propaganda www.portaldapropaganda.comThe young ladies stood out in the newly created Young Lions Media Competition, in which pairs from 20 countries had to elaborate an innovative and creative media campaign to divulgate War Child’s work, an international agency that protects children victims of the war.
Initially, the category would grant only golden medals. Nevertheless, after the judging committee perceived the presented pieces’ high standards, the three best cases were awarded.
The Gold went to the Italian team formed by media planners Francesca Casadei, from Aegis Media Italy; and Stefano Migliore, from Mindshare.
The Silver was granted to Germany, for the work of media planners Tanja Punnachira, from Initiative Media GmbH, and Eva Sauerwald, from GFMO OMD GmbH; whereas the Bronze was given to the North Americans Alyssa Burgess and Emily Rose, both strategy supervisors from OMD Chicago.
Another highlight was the Japanese team formed by Kaori Miki and Kaoru Mutsuura, art director and planners from Asatsu-DK respectively, who received an honorable mention for excellence in the execution of their media project.
The pieces were judged by Luis Mergulhão, Omnicom Media Group CEO in Portugal; Susannah Outfin, Carat Group’s president, from the United Kingdom; Richard Beaven, Initiative’s CEO from New York; and Scott Neslund, president and creation chief of Mindshare North America.
The Brazilian team participating in the category was formed by Talent’s Fábio Bueno de Moraes, and Kaue Lara Cury, from ID/TBWA. Brazil is still disputing the Cyber and Film Young Lions.
