Portal da Propaganda www.portaldapropaganda.comIt wasn’t wonderful like in 2006, when we brought back from Cannes two Silver and four Bronze Lions. But we recovered some status in Radio, with four Bronze Lions, a number of prizes that represents our second best performance in the area (they were two Bronze Lions in the debut year, 2005; and only one in 2007). McCann Erickson, AlmapBBDO and F/Nazca S&S (two) were the awarded agencies; Adams, Gol, Unibanco and SOS Mata Atlântica, the respective clients; Tesis (three times) and A Voz do Brasil, were the production houses.
The Bronze Lions went to the following:
– “Churchill”, by F/Nazca S&S and Tesis for Unibanco
– “Chainsaw”, by F/Nazca S&S and Tesis for SOS Mata Atlântica
– “TV news” and “Show” campaigns, by McCann Erickson and Tesis for Cadbury-Adams
– “Right side/Left side”, by AlmapBBDO and A Voz do Brasil for Gol
The best performances, easily perceived, were Tesis’, with three Lions and one finalist, and F/Nazca S&S’, with two Lions and one Finalist.
The Grand Prix was granted to Japan, for “Shutter chance”, by Dentsu Tokyo and DO Corporation for Canon’s digital camera Eos Kiss. The most awarded countries were the United States, with one Gold Lion, three Silver and five Bronze; South Africa, with one Gold Lion, two Silver and one Bronze; Germany with one Lion in each degree.
In the area’s general score, USA leads with 58 points (one Gold Lion, three Silver, five Bronze and 21 finalists); followed by Germany, with 38 (one Gold Lion, one Silver, one Bronze and 23 finalists); and South Africa, with 33 (one Gold Lion, two Silver, one Bronze and 13 finalists).
